About Us

Welcome to Like Paeds in a Pod!

We are passionate about kids having a great ​start to life, while developing a love of movement ​through physical literacy.

As parents of 4 young children, we understand ​how tricky it can be for families to access child-​friendly healthcare.

That’s why we have created a fun and family-​centred space for kids to play as they learn. Our ​dedicated clinic combines podiatry and exercise ​physiology in a unique way.

Your child’s goals and needs are our focus.

Podiatry

Kelly Thomas

Kelly has been a local Podiatrist for 15 years and loves ​working with families. She has spent many years ​building podiatry services in the region, while becoming ​a mum to 4 kids.

Her role as a volunteer Breastfeeding Counsellor with ​ABA has solidified her passion for supporting families ​and meeting people where they are at.

Kelly has recently re-disocvered her love of running and ​has persued her qualification as a level 1 Recreation ​Running coach and level 1 Athletics coach.

You can find Kelly enjoying a coffee and good ​conversation at community events across the region.

Movement coaching

Jason Thomas


Jason is an Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES) and Accredited ​Exercise Physiologist (AEP).

He has over 20 years experience in movement coaching and ​co-ordinating specialist programs for young people through ​the Australian Sports Commission, the Stephanie Alexander ​Kitchen Garden Foundation, HILAC and at local government.

Jason loves gardening and growing food, and is a keen runner ​with level 2 Running coaching and level 1 Athletics ​certification.

You will find Jason at Hamilton parkrun, junior basketball, and ​at local fun runs around the region.

How do I make an appointment?

Receipts are provided for your ​reimbursement


Do you only see kids?

Our focus is on young people U18.

We do support the wider community ​as capacity allows.

Classes are held with term-by-term ​bookings.

Suitability is determined after initial ​assessment.

Classes are for 4 people, over 45 ​minutes.
